Makerere University students have begged Kenyan Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka to force President Yoweri Museveni to restore term limits in Uganda.

The request was made on Monday afternoon by Vincent Nuwagaba, a political science scholar during a public debate where Kalonzo was the guest speaker.

Nuwagaba told Kalonzo that Museveni’s over stay in power would kill the political federation. Nuwagaba was supported by the audience although the Kenyan VP did not reply the question.

He only advised Ugandans to be patient. At the same function Mak VC Venansius Baryamureeba announced that he was going to open up study centres in outside countries to enable students from those countries have easy access to education.

Barya also confirmed a Red Pepper story that said Mak was going to give a PHD to President Mwai Kibaki, for being the first student to get a first class degree in economics at Makerere University.
